(A) The Problem: Nanoporous (instant drying) photo paper's surface allows ozone, which is all around us, to penetrate the printed surface and attack the dye-based ink. This phenomenon, known as gas fading or ozone fading, can cause inkjet prints to lose up to 70% of their colour density in as little as six months in everyday home display conditions (unprotected on a table, not under glass in a frame or not in photo album). Most of the competitors claims longevity under specific storage conditions (protection of a glass or storage in a photo album) that typically can slow down fading caused by gas, light and humidity.

(B) The Cure: PerDura™ protection technology stops gas fading and ensures long-term image permanence. The use of PerDura™ technology in standard glossy porous inkjet paper prevents gas fading problem by introducing a chemical protection which functions as a radical scavenger and an antioxidant at a very low consumption level. The greatly reduced consumption level is due to the cyclic mode in which the active molecule is regenerated. This technology protects ozone attacks and enhances the permanence of the printed image to an exceptional level.
