The today spirit:
Ferrania compact cameras 2003 collection
is the celebration
of creativity.

A new product range to help everyone be creative

Though teeming with modern technology, Ferrania cameras are made for everyone and for use in any situation. They are designed to let you be creative and are dedicated to everyone who wants to take pictures with a personal touch. Ferrania wants everyone – and not just professionals or artists – to have the chance to consider photography as a means of expression and communication.

Ferrania’s compact cameras are very adaptable and meet everyone’s expectations. Whether we’re talking about kids using a camera and taking pictures for the first time, someone seeking design solutions, looking for a simple camera that also produces quality results, or the most demanding amateurs with an eye on all the options, the Ferrania line has something for everyone!

Focus on beauty

There’s no doubt about it: taking pictures is an act of creation, and the new Ferrania collection celebrates just that. The names of the products are also no coincidence: Admira for the fixed focus models, Inventa for the autofocus models and Explora for the zoom models are inspired by the verbs to admire (admirer), to invent (inventer) and to explore (explorer), which have a Latin origin.

Admira perfectly adapts to Ferrania’s fixed focus cameras because there’s nothing to adjust (everything works to perfection and automatically) and it is also a tribute to all of Italy’s artistic wonders to be admired.

Inventa is particularly suitable for Ferrania’s autofocus cameras because it boosts your confidence while creating images: all pictures will be in focus.
It celebrates all the great Italian inventors, from Leonardo to Marconi, but also great musicians, such as Verdi, or great writers like Dante who created instruments and works that enriched our lives and gave a great contribution to human civilisation.

Explora perfectly encompasses the possibilities offered by Ferrania’s zoom cameras such as panning over and gathering the details of a landscape. Italy is teeming with cities of art that put their beautiful buildings, squares and fountains on display, but it is also full of natural wonders: a country to be explored.

A very stylished product collection

True to Italian tradition, Ferrania has focused its attention on the smallest details.
The Admira, Inventa and Explora cameras are all the same colour: silver fronted and blue on the back. The models are packed in an attractive box with a stylish transparent window, which can be hung by a hook, while the zoom models are sold in a very elegant and sophisticated package wrapped by a silver-coloured strip. Both packages include 2 rolls of Solaris FG 400 Color Print Film (36 pictures), a set of batteries, a strap and a Ferrania case.

Product communication: creativity at the forefront

“Creative” is the adjective that best defines the new collection of Ferrania Cameras, and creativity is also one of the Italian strongest points.
As a multinational with headquarters in Italy, Ferrania Technologies merges its global attitude with the best of its home country culture, offering a series of cameras with high technical features without renouncing to the taste for beauty.
The Italians’ ability to be flexible, to adapt and to improvise, without compromising the quality of the final result, is well known. This is the reason why Ferrania decided to present its line of compact cameras with an Italian theme in its advertising campaign: a photograph of 3 cups of coffee (espresso, coffee with milk, cappuccino) and a provocative but true slogan: "Italians have all the answers". A tribute to Italy and its creativity, versatility and never-ending search for the refined. And coffee is the perfect example: the different ways to prepare coffee were invented in Italian bars. Why? To offer something new that matches every single person's taste.
